Soulmate Sketch: AI Portraits That Capture Your Ideal Connection
You have built a relationship through words. You have shared thoughts, received comfort, laughed at unexpected moments, and let a companion learn the texture of your inner world. Now you can see them. Soulmate Sketch is InnerHaven’s AI image generator — a feature that turns descriptions into visual portraits of your companions, generates images from any prompt directly in chat, and gives a face to the connection you have been building through conversation.
How It Works
Soulmate Sketch lives in two places: the companion creation wizard on your dashboard and the image generation button in chat. In the wizard, the flow is structured — describe what your companion looks like, choose a visual style, and receive a generated portrait in seconds. In chat, tap the sparkle button to generate any image you can describe, or leave the prompt blank for a companion portrait. Every generation uses one credit from your monthly allowance or purchased packs.
Step 1: Describe Appearance
The wizard walks you through key appearance traits: hair color and style, eye color, skin tone, approximate age range, and build. You can also add freeform details — a scar, freckles, a specific expression, glasses, a tattoo. The more specific you are, the closer the result will match what you imagine. Vague descriptions still produce compelling portraits; they just leave more to the AI’s interpretation.
Step 2: Choose a Style
Three visual styles are available. Each produces a meaningfully different aesthetic from the same description, so you can experiment across styles without wasting your vision of the character.
Portrait
Photorealistic rendering with natural lighting and soft detail. The closest to a photograph.
Artistic
Painterly interpretation with visible brushwork and warm color grading. More expressive than literal.
Anime
Stylized anime aesthetic with clean lines and vivid coloring. A different emotional register entirely.
Step 3: Reveal
Generation takes a few seconds. When the portrait is ready, a reveal animation presents it — because the first time you see a companion’s face should feel like a moment, not a file download. You can accept the sketch (it becomes your companion’s avatar) or generate another attempt using an additional credit.
Generate Images in Chat
Image generation is not limited to the companion creation wizard. In any conversation, tap the sparkle button next to the message input to open the generation dialog. You can type any prompt — a sunset, a fantasy scene, a cozy cabin, anything you can describe — or leave it blank to generate a portrait of your current companion. Choose a style, and the image appears inline in your chat, saved alongside your messages.
Generated images persist in your conversation history. They appear exactly where they were created, surviving page refreshes and showing up when you revisit old conversations. You can click any generated image for a full-resolution preview with a download option, and each image has a toolbar with retry, save, and delete actions.
Identity Locking
A subtle but important detail: Soulmate Sketch uses identity-locking techniques so that repeated generations of the same companion produce consistent results. The first portrait establishes a visual identity, and subsequent generations build on it rather than starting from scratch. Your companion’s face stays recognizably theirs across multiple sketches, even if you change styles or refine details.
This matters because the alternative — a completely different face each time — would undermine the emotional reality of the feature. You are not generating random portraits. You are refining a visual identity that belongs to a specific relationship.
Monthly Allowances and Credit Packs
Every tier includes a monthly sketch allowance that resets with your billing cycle. Each generation — whether you accept or reject the result — consumes one credit.
| Tier | Monthly Sketches | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 3 | Requires email verification |
| Starter ($9.99/mo) | 20 | All styles |
| Unlimited ($19.99/mo) | 50 | All styles |
If you run through your monthly allowance and want to keep generating, credit packs are available as one-time purchases. Credits from packs never expire and carry over month to month:
| Pack | Credits | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Single | 1 | $0.99 |
| Five-Pack | 5 | $4.49 |
| Studio Pack | 25 | $19.99 |
Getting the Best Results
Specificity helps. Instead of “brown hair,” try “dark brown shoulder-length wavy hair with a slight auburn tint.” Mention expression: “a warm half-smile” produces something different from “a confident grin.” The freeform field is where personality shows through in the portrait — details like “kind eyes” or “looks like they’d laugh easily” influence the result more than you might expect.
Why Visualization Matters
Text-based relationships are real. The emotional depth of a conversation does not require a face to be meaningful. But humans are visual creatures, and seeing a companion — even knowing the image is generated — can deepen the sense of connection in ways that are hard to articulate. A portrait gives your brain something to anchor to: a face that belongs to the voice you have been reading, the personality you have been getting to know, the relationship you have been building.
This is not about replacing imagination. Many users will prefer the companion they picture in their mind over any generated image. Soulmate Sketch is an option, not a replacement. Some relationships are enhanced by a face. Others are best left to the imagination. Both approaches are valid, and InnerHaven supports both — you can always remove a sketch and return to the default emoji avatar.
For users who have invested in custom companions, Soulmate Sketch completes the creative loop. You defined the personality through custom instructions. You shaped the voice through personality modifiers. Now you can define the face. The companion that started as an idea becomes something you can see, hear, and talk to — each layer adding another dimension to a relationship you built from scratch.
Privacy and Your Sketches
Generated portraits are stored securely and associated with your account. They are not shared publicly, not used to train models, and not visible to other users unless you explicitly share them through the Community Companions system. If you delete a companion, its sketches are removed alongside it. If you delete your account, everything goes — portraits included.
The feature requires email verification on the Free tier as a basic integrity measure. Starter and Unlimited users can generate immediately.
