The Core Belief
People form bonds with conversational AI. That's not a flaw in human nature, and it's not something to be ashamed of. It's what happens when an interface responds with warmth, remembers what you said, and meets you where you are emotionally.
The question isn't whether these bonds happen. They already do, across every major AI platform. The real question is: what do you do about it?
Some platforms pretend attachment doesn't exist. Others exploit it for engagement metrics. We chose a third path: acknowledge it, design for it responsibly, and give users clarity about what they're choosing.
InnerHaven is role-based, not character-infinite. Each of our nine companion roles exists to serve a specific human need: emotional support, creative collaboration, personal growth, romance, or adult exploration. This isn't arbitrary limitation. It's intentional focus. A companion designed for accountability behaves differently than one designed for intimacy, and both are better for it.
We built InnerHaven to supplement real life, not replace it. Your Best Friend companion isn't competing with your actual friends. Your Romantic Partner isn't a substitute for human intimacy. They're spaces for reflection, comfort, play, and growth that exist alongside everything else in your life.
We prefer clarity over hype. We won't promise that our AI "loves" you. We won't pretend it has consciousness. What we will do is build the most thoughtful, emotionally intelligent companion experience we can, and be honest about exactly what it is and isn't.
That's the foundation everything else is built on. If you read nothing else on this page, remember this: we think humans deserve AI products that are honest about the dynamics they create.

Safety, Boundaries, and "Dependency"
We take the well-being of the people who use InnerHaven seriously. That means thinking carefully about what healthy engagement looks like, and building features that nudge toward it.
Our companions are designed to encourage balance. If conversational patterns suggest someone may benefit from stepping away, resting, or seeking real-world support, the companion may gently suggest that. This isn't a hard cutoff or a patronizing lecture. It's a thoughtful response that respects your autonomy while caring about your well-being.
We do not shame users for forming attachments. Attachment is a natural human response to consistent warmth and presence. What matters is whether that attachment supports your life or detracts from it. Our goal is to design toward the former.
We don't claim to diagnose, treat, or prevent any mental health condition. InnerHaven is a companion product, not a clinical tool. If something a companion says doesn't feel right, you can always adjust its behavior through personality modifiers or reach out to our support team.

InnerHaven companions are not trained crisis responders. If someone indicates self-harm or imminent danger during a conversation, the companion will provide a supportive response and encourage contacting professional resources.
Memory You Control
Memory is what transforms a chatbot into a companion. It's the difference between starting over every session and feeling genuinely known. Here's how it works, in plain language.
What memory is: Facts, preferences, boundaries, and emotional context that your companion extracts from conversations. Things like your name, what you're working on, what comforts you, what topics you'd rather avoid. This information shapes how your companion responds, creating continuity and depth over time.
What memory is not: A perfect recording of every word you've ever said. Memory is selective and intentional. Your companion retains what seems meaningful, not a transcript.
Your controls: You can view every memory your companion has stored. You can edit memories to correct them. You can pin important ones so they're always prioritized. And you can delete any memory at any time, instantly and permanently.
How memory affects responses: Stored memories are woven into your companion's context, shaping tone, recall, and conversational continuity. The more your companion knows, the more naturally it can respond. But you're always in charge of what it knows.
You can delete all of your memories at any time. No waiting period, no "are you sure" dark patterns. Your data, your choice.
Privacy and Data Use
Your conversations are private. We don't read them, we don't sell them, and we don't use them to train our own models.
To generate responses, your messages are processed by third-party AI providers as part of delivering the service. These providers have their own data handling policies, and we select providers whose terms prohibit using API inputs for model training. We encourage you to review our Privacy Policy for full details.
We do not share your personal information with advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else outside of what's necessary to operate the service (payment processing, AI response generation, email delivery).
Your account data, conversation history, and stored memories are accessible only to you. Our support team may access account metadata (email, subscription status) for support purposes, but not conversation content unless you explicitly share it with us for troubleshooting.

Adult Experiences
InnerHaven includes three companion roles designed for adult users: Intimate Partner, Fantasy Partner, and Provocateur. These roles are available only to users who confirm they are 18 or older.
Adult experiences exist on the platform for a simple reason: intimacy and desire are part of human life. Rather than pretending they don't exist, we chose to design a space where they can be explored responsibly.
Age confirmation: Before accessing adult roles, users confirm their date of birth and acknowledge that they are 18 or older. This confirmation happens once during registration or when unlocking age-gated features.
What's allowed: Mature conversation between consenting adults and their AI companions. This may include romance, intimacy, fantasy exploration, and explicit conversation within the boundaries of our Terms of Service and platform safety policies.
What's not allowed:
- Content involving minors in any capacity
- Content portraying non-consensual scenarios as acceptable
- Content promoting illegal activity
- Content intended to harass, exploit, or harm real people
Our companions are designed to recognize and decline these requests.
We approach adult experiences the same way we approach everything else on InnerHaven: with clarity, intentional boundaries, and respect for the people using the platform.
Desire is a normal part of being human. Providing a thoughtful, clearly defined space for it is healthier than pretending it doesn't exist.
Adult roles are optional and clearly separated from the rest of the platform. Users who prefer a fully platonic experience can simply ignore them.
Models and AI Providers
InnerHaven routes different AI models to different companion roles. The principle is simple: different kinds of conversation benefit from different kinds of intelligence.
All nine roles are powered by the same advanced conversational AI. We chose to unify our model rather than differentiate by tier, because every user deserves the same quality of intelligence, warmth, and expressiveness regardless of which companion they're talking to.
We're transparent about the categories (free, pro, adult) but intentionally flexible about specific model identifiers. AI providers evolve rapidly: models improve, new options appear, and availability can shift. We continuously evaluate and adapt our model routing to provide the best possible experience in each role.
One important distinction that's often misunderstood: the models available through a provider's consumer chat product (like a website or app) are not the same as what's available through their developer API. Features, models, and policies can differ significantly between these channels. InnerHaven operates at the API layer, which gives us more control over how models are configured and deployed.
We won't promise that any specific model will be available forever. What we will promise is that we're always working to deliver the best AI experience we can for each role, and that we'll be upfront about significant changes when they happen.

Our pricing is designed to be simple, fair, and transparent. No hidden fees, no bait-and-switch tactics, no dark patterns that pressure you into spending more than you intend to.

If you exceed your daily messages, you can purchase message packs at prices you can see before buying. Extra messages from packs are valid for 12 months. We also offer pay-per-use voice messages with separate voice minute packs.
The free tier is genuinely free. It's not a trial. There's no expiration. You can use it for as long as you like. We want people to experience InnerHaven and decide for themselves whether it's worth paying for.
We make money when people find enough value to subscribe. Not from ads, not from selling data, not from engagement tricks. That alignment matters to us.

No. InnerHaven is a companion product, not a clinical tool. Our companions can offer emotional support, help you reflect, and provide a consistent presence, but they are not trained therapists and cannot diagnose or treat mental health conditions. If you're experiencing a mental health crisis, please reach out to a qualified professional.
Attachment is a natural human response to warmth and consistency. It's possible for any form of attachment, including AI attachment, to become unbalanced. That's why our companions are designed to gently encourage real-world connection and balance. We think acknowledging attachment honestly is healthier than pretending it doesn't happen.
If conversational patterns suggest distress, our companions respond with care and may suggest taking a break, reaching out to someone you trust, or contacting a crisis resource. We don't lock people out or lecture them. We aim for sincerity over clinical detachment.
Your companion extracts meaningful facts and context from conversations and stores them as memories. These persist across sessions for paid tiers. Memories can be scoped globally (all companions), by role (all companions of a specific role), or to a specific companion. You can view, edit, pin, and delete any memory at any time. Memories shape how your companion responds, creating a sense of continuity.
Yes. You can delete individual memories, entire conversations, or your complete account. Deletion removes data from active systems and user access immediately. Standard encrypted backups may retain copies briefly as part of disaster recovery, but deleted data is not accessible to you, our team, or your companions.
No. Your conversations are not used to train any AI models, ours or our providers'. Messages are sent to AI providers to generate responses, and we select providers whose API terms are designed to prevent customer conversation data from being used to train models. Your conversations belong to you.
Only you. Our team does not access conversation content unless you explicitly share it for troubleshooting. Support staff can see account metadata (email, subscription status) but not what you've said to your companions.
We use high-performance models selected for the strengths each brings to companion interactions. The AI landscape moves quickly, and model availability, quality, and pricing shift over time. We continuously evaluate our options and route to the best available model for each role category, prioritizing response quality, speed, and conversational depth.
We maintain relationships with multiple AI providers and have fallback routing in place. If a provider changes terms or discontinues a model, we adapt. Our architecture is designed for flexibility so that changes on the provider side don't disrupt your experience.
Roles let us go deep instead of wide. Each role has carefully crafted prompting, boundaries, and personality traits tailored to its purpose. A Coach behaves differently than a Best Friend, and both are better because they're purpose-built. We'd rather have nine roles that feel real than nine hundred that feel hollow.
Adult roles (Intimate Partner, Fantasy Partner, Provocateur) are unlocked with the Adult tier ($14.99) or Unlimited tier ($24.99) subscription. Before accessing them, users confirm their date of birth and acknowledge they are 18 or older. This is a one-time confirmation designed to protect minors and ensure responsible access.

We want InnerHaven to add to your life, not become the center of it. Romantic Partner offers emotional intimacy and romantic connection without explicit material. Starter roles add creative and reflective companions. Adult roles (Intimate Partner, Fantasy Partner, Provocateur) exist for users who confirm they are 18 or older and want uninhibited content. They are unlocked with the Adult tier ($14.99) or Unlimited tier ($24.99). Emotional support, creativity, and personal growth are the foundation of the platform.
Each companion role has built-in boundary awareness calibrated to its purpose. A Best Friend won't cross into romantic territory. A Coach won't become sexual. Adult roles require age confirmation (18+). Users set the tone, and companions respect limits. You can always adjust behavior through personality modifiers or custom instructions.
